About Me: The tip-top of the sofa back becomes warm in the winter sun, shining in through the front window, and I pull my soft belly up over the scratchy fabric, cat-like, and watch for things outside that are about to happen. I do everything just a little bit slower than my Maltese sister, like looking at stuff and thinking about what I see. My sister, Maggie, is like a coiled spring in a tightly packed box of random reactions. But I'm more like Hesse's Siddhartha: I'm good at thinking, waiting, and... well, I'm not so good at fasting actually. But do you want to really know the truth? My mom, dad and sister just think that I'm kind of dumb and simple, on account of my low-key demeanor. (After all, they're frequently comparing me to Maggie, who's energy levels and surplus of personality could supply a small village of the criminally insane.) It's OK, though, I know that they love me as much as they understand what love is. I was really sick when I was little, and my mom, dad and sister never gave up on me!
