Holtz - Chocolate Lab

About Me: I was given to my mommy back in 99 or 2000. My previous owners loved me and still do but at the time the place they were living didn't allow pets. (Silly rule!) At first, I lived in West Lafayette with mommie's friends but she visited all the time. She was living with Grandma & Grandpa for a while and they didn't want me there since I shed. Mommy ended up living with them longer than planned but as soon as her and daddy got a house I moved in with them and my brother Bailey. Bailey wasn't too happy about this. Oh well. I am one happy dog. I am always wagging my tail. That's why one of my nicknames is Thumper. (Because when I wag my tail it goes 'thump, thump, thump' on the floor or whatever furniture or walls it is hitting.) I am an old man now. Sometimes when I get up I have to rock back and forth to get my behind off the ground, darn arthritis!

Likes: I love attention! I will paw at people or just lay my head on them getting them to pet me.

Pet-peeves: SMOKING! Yuck! Whenever one of mommy or daddy's smoker friends are around I sneeze. I love them but that smell just gets to me.

Best Tricks: I'm pretty good at whatever mommy and daddy ask. Sit, Down, Stay, Shake (although it's getting harder for me to do...I'm not too comfortable without all 4 paws on the ground)

Favorite Activities: I love laying in the sun although I do it for short periods of time because I get so hot having a dark coat and all.

Favorite Walk: Well, it hurts to walk too long so I like shorter walks. We don't walk as much as we should though.
