Tingy and Phoenix - Sun Conures

About Me: My mom saw me at a pet store before I was even weaned and fell in love with me. Even though she already had 9 pets, she bought me, took handfeeding lessons, ordered me a cage, and brought me home within a week. I have got her wrapped around my little toe. I don't really like a whole lot of other people, but I make up for it in how much I love my mom. My world revolves around her and we love spending time together. Recently, my brother Phoenix came home. He is going to be 9 in August and he used to live with some of mom's friends but in March they decided that they didn't want him anymore, and mom just couldn't say no. So, by the end of the day, he had a whole new life and a whole new name. He's been adjusting very well and by all accounts, he is behaving himself much better here than he was at his previous home. Mom thinks he is very sweet, but I just think he is mean. We're looking forward to next year when mom will graduate from law school because we'll be able to move back to Indianapolis and we can stop moving into different apartments every year...because I'm sick of moving.

Likes: Hiding in mom's shirt, playing with my brother Roman (mini schnauzer), going on adventures like "what's under the couch" and "what sound will that make if I bang my beak on it", taking showers with mom or dad on my retractable perch, and going outside

Pet-peeves: I don't like the color bright orange, anyone coming near my mom (including dad sometimes), getting my nails trimmed, small children, and sometimes Phoenix. Phoenix doesn't like being out of his cage for very long, but otherwise he's pretty laid back.

Best Tricks: I can say "Really", I dance, and I do a perfect impression of a kiss. I kiss my mom and dad, Roman, and Res Ipsa, and I make kissing noises whenever mom and dad hug or kiss. Phoenix says "Pretty bird", "Uh-oh", and "Hey Baby", he also goes poo in the toi

Favorite Activities: Destroying things!!!!! :)

Favorite Food: Any Beverage I can get my beak on, and anything I see mom put in her mouth.

Favorite Toy: My Green Happy Hut, Phoenix likes to chew on strips of leather

Favorite Walk: We both like going outside for walks with mom and Roman, but mom and we are always on the look out for hawks. We heard that a lady in Iowa had her conure snatched right off her shoulder by one, so mom still takes us outside, but she is very careful. Sometimes Phoenix and I think she is being a little overprotective.
