Amadeus - Chihuahua

About Me: We love our already wonderful zoo of a family. Everyone gets along. However, we wanted a boy Chihuahua to befriend our Arwen. We wanted a dog her size to play with. (Of course right now he is about 1/4 her size) I always wanted a merle Chihuahua. We found a good breeder who bred the merle gene correctly and fell in love with this guy. This little boy is a sweetheart. He loves to give kisses and loves to be held. He treats everyone like a long lost friend. His nickname is Casanova because of his love of the ladies. But he runs and dances all around. He speckles look like moving music, like notes in movement. Thus his name Amadeus. He crosses his paws all the time when he's laying down. It's like he's a little gentleman. He thinks he's invincible. He tries to get on Arwen's back and will keep his paws on her back and walk with her as if he were trying to leap on her back as if she were a horse. It's so cute! He doesn't like being alone and follows you anywhere. When you walk he thinks it's a game and jumps on your foot (that you were moving!) so you stop and walk carefully so not to step on him or have him flying off the foot he is attacking. He's quiet unless he's playing, otherwise he growls cute-like or barks wanting to engage with the other pups. He loves to chase any dog that is running. He especially loves being chased by Arwen. He runs in circles and then runs off then runs in circles again. He is the kind of dog that chases his tail and even loves to munch on the tip of it. I don't know what satisfaction he gets from it, but it's a trait all his own. I've never had a tail chaser before. Of course tail chasing doesn't just mean his own tail. He loves all the pets' tails and attacks them all. No one seems to appreciate the sport though. He loves to run and romp and attack all toys. Arwen will tip her nose in the toy box and pull out a toy. Not Amadeus, he jumps in and throws out toys he wants. But he usually wants the toy that Arwen is currently playing with. And when they play tug of war, it's the cutest! Either can win at tug of war (Even though Arwen is bigger), so it's great to watch and see who gets the prize. Amadeus growls the whole time while Arwen is quietly trying to win. It's very funny. Ami is very loving. We've only had him a short time, but he's already stolen our hearts.
