Miles - Basset Hound

About Me: Miles (originally named Reggie) was rescued from Guardian Angels Basset Rescue on January 13, 2006. He was found as a stray in Illinois and was taken to a shelter. The shelter contacted GABR and the gladly accepted him. Our family saw him on the website the first day he was up and we just had to adopt him as a playmate for Gunner (who was lonely after the loss of Beau). Miles is one goofy Basset. He's still learning to accomodate for his short legs and long body, so we often see him tripping and crashing to the floor. He's very excitable and once he starts moaning, be prepared to see Miles the rocket take off. Miles loves people and has to be near someone at all times. He's very energetic and helps to keep Gunner entertained while no one is home (of course, they still haven't figured out how to play outside.) Miles is just a big baby and the whole family loves him to death.

Likes: his bones, belly rubs, walks and attention.

Pet-peeves: about the only thing Miles doesn't like is being left alone. other than that, he's happy all the time.

Best Tricks: we're still trying to master 'stay' but he knows sit

Favorite Activities: Walks, driving Gunner insane, visiting For the Love of Dogs Bakery.

Favorite Food: he'll eat anything. he still acts like he's starved. if i put it in his bowl, there's no doubt he'll eat it.

Favorite Toy: bones, the kong, shoes he steals

Favorite Walk: to For the Love of Dogs Bakery or anywhere around Irvington.
