Thanksgiving Rocks!

Rufus on My Blog - Mon, November 26 2007

I had no idea! My foster momma kept telling me last week..."Ruf, it's nearly Thanksgiving...are you ready for your turkey dinner?" I know she will always give me dinner now so I just smiled at her and went back to playing with Deya. Around three that day..a bunch of people all piled into mom's house! Deya was excited and said it was momma's family and that they all loved dogs...especially bullies! She was jumping up and down and running around so I did too! I had like five people petting and scratching on me at once and more standing in line to pet me! Wowie! No one ever stood in line to pet me before...in fact, no one ever really petted me much at all..or looked at me, or fed me..
But that's all over and I was lying in someone named "gramma"s lap in like no time!
Everyone liked me! And I got my kibble with roast turkey on top right beside Deya and her bowl just off the dining room where everyone was eating. Gosh...I never realized what having a family could be like! And I never peed once in the house! Momma told me that night while we were watching something called "colts football" that I was a good boy and she was proud of me! And then Deya licked my whole face and we curled up in a furpile and went to sleep in front of the fireplace.

Sigh...I'm so happy

You are all a bunch of lucky puppers. There was NO food at our house. It is just us two and she does not like to cook for two. TV dinners again. I got my new kibble though so am happy. I am always thankful for my home. I am thankful for your home too Rufus.

Wow! You had a fun day! We had to stay in our crates while mom went to Grandma's house and ate. But, she did bring home a bag of ham and turkey for us dogs! It was DELICIOUS!! My mom said she would stand in line to pet you. She says you're a handsome boy!

Mom says she'd stand in line to pet any dog before she'd stand in line to shake some person's hand most of the time! She is always oohing and ahhing over all you guys on Indy Paws. I think she'd have a hundred dogs if time and space would allow! HA!
