Potty trained for the garage?

Zeek on Training - Mon, November 26 2007

Is anyone out there potty trained to go on a pad out in the garage? A lady Mom works with said she knew a lady that all her small dogs always go on a pad in the garage. There's even some stuff that you can buy to put on the pads to get me to go there, but she didn't know what it was. Anybody out there know? I hate the cold, but I hate rain and snow more! If I could learn to do this it would be the best thing since doggie bakeries!

Zoe is potty pad trained. Most of the potty pads are treated to attract dogs to urinate on them. Zoe has used them since she was a puppy. She also is trained to go outside, but when the weather is bad or Momma doesn't get home fast enough, she can always use her potty pads.

Mama bought some pads at Meijer at the big sale, but someone told her later that there is a brand called "Nature's Miracle" that smells like grass; now that sounds cool. I HATE rain, cold winds and snow. I was lured out today in my parka and with plenty of treats in mom's parka.

My ga (grandma) had a yorkie that went in the garage...he was pretty stubborn about going outside in bad weather. Good luck!

my inlaws always keep newspapers down in their garage. they have a cattle dog, and when she has to go, she stands at the garage door. of course, she will go out to potty, too, but the newspaper thing was what they did when she was a pup. they are retired now, so she probably goes outside more than on the paper, BUT, having the papers down while they were at work was her "potty area", and it worked well. they trained all of the dogs they have ever had that way, and it does work. personally, i wouldn't waste $$ on potty pads. use newspapers. they are biodegradable, and soak up the pee same as potty pads.

Me and my sister go on pads mine is by the back door and Baby's is in the living room. Baby will only go on pads now she won't even go if we go outside she holds it till we come in. I will go anywhere it took me about a month to get the pad thing down but it only took baby a couple days. The spray stuff didn't work for me at all. My mommy just had to keep showing me the pad every time I went on the floor and I finally got it.
