Happy Got-versary to me!

I've been here a whole year now. Wow, it seems like a lifetime ago when I was kept in an outdoor pen and forced to breed over and over again. Luckily my memories of all that are beginning to fade. They are being replaced by memories of mom snuggling with me in bed, lying in dad's lap, and playing with my brother Chase. I never imagined life could be so good. Life was pretty harsh behind those wire bars. I'm trying to put all that behind me but I'll never forget my roots. I'll fight over and over to educate people on the evils of puppy mills and pet stores. Think of me staying outside day and night in all types of weather in a wire cage(I'm a mini Dachshund)when you're thinking about buying a pet store puppy.
Well happy day to me. I'm so happy I found this great home with these people that love the stuffing out of me. I've changed so much both physically and mentally(all for the better). One year with hopefully many more to go!!!!! Tiny puppy kisses and snuggles, your pal Blitzen.

Blitzen, I'm so happy you were rescued from that puppy mill. We'll also do our part to let people know not to buy pets from pet stores. Have a wonderful day and celebrate by snuggling your mom and dad extra today!

It's your GOTCHA DAY, little Blitzen! We like the Got-versary word too. You do have it pretty good now, what with that pirate costume and Officer Barkey at your house. And the Wasset is gone, so there will be more attention for you boys. Here's to many more happy got-versary days for you! And spread the word about the expose on WTHR tonight at 11PM. I hope you don't get PTSD from seeing puppy mill footage.

Happy Got-versary Blitzen!! Hope you have a GREAT day!!Mom went into the pet store the other day, something she trys not to do. She said they had a little Cavalier that looked like me in a cage with 4 other puppies all of them a different breed and it just broke her heart. Stocking up for Christmas I guess. You can bet we will be watching channel 13 news at 11 tonight. I wish one of the celebrities that are fighting against puppy mills would do an hour prime time show on the horrors of puppy mills.

Blitzen, from one tiny doxie to another, I can't even imagine living outside in a cage and having lots of babies. I'm getting spayed tomorrow and I LOVE to snuggle and be warm. I'm so happy that you found your mom and dad. You're very lucky. Mom thinks about all of those poor doggies and starts to cry....
