treats idea..

Indigo on Nutrition - Sat, November 24 2007

mom was wondering if it would be ok to just, like freeze balls of peanut butter for me as treats.

Treat recipes are accepted!

if your dog likes ice, you could get some SALT FREE chicken broth, and freeze it in ice cube trays, and pop one out whenever your dog gets a treat. they LOVE it!! ;o)

Mama Biscuits-- Check my post on my site. Mama has two recipes posted. She also puts peanut butter between to biscuits as a reward sandwich.

My mom does the modified Mama T biscuit sandwich. Alright, there's nothing Mama T about it except she slathers peanut butter between two store bought dog biscuits. I'm still having issues that she hasn't made us any Mama T biscuits...

well I do not prefer W.C. they are just open 24-7 when you just need a cheeseburger.I prefer B.K..

I'd be a little worried that Deuce would swallow the whole frozen ball of peanut butter and choke. I will just give him some peanut butter on a store bought bone and let him eat it that way.

I've heard that it's good to take peanut butter, put it in a Kong and then freeze it. That might solve Deuce's choking concern. I like Jersey Joe's chicken broth idea. I'll have to try it because my dogs like ice.

ooooo, be careful with the White Castle, guys-- make sure there's no onions on it! However, I will agree that McD's cheeseburgers are superyummy-- that's the first meal that mommy & I shared! We had it on our way back from Ohio- she gave me little teeny tiny bites (ketchup only, hold the pickles please) and I also got some fries. Hey Indigo, how brave is your mom??? My mom has a treat recipe with liver-- but it's gotta be liquefied in the blender-- can your mom stomach that?? My grandma makes these treats for me- she says it smells when it's baking!! But I love em, so she always brings me some when she & grandpa come for a visit. BARK

My mom used to get us peanut butter flavored doggy ice cream from the dog bakery but they closed :( And she won't give us any White Castle cheeseburgers but she gets us chicken rings from there but they are not as good as Wendy's..

It wouldn't be bad for you but peanut butter is very high in fat. Mom feeds us all organic and it is delicious!
