I'm off on another great adventure. I get to go to my new home today with my new parents. They are waiting for me to get my bags packed and show up over there. They have a cat and I'm going to try to be nice to it. I'll miss playing with Chase but mom says maybe their cat will play with me. I got a bath and most of my nails cut last night. I say most because mom cut one too close and I was done with the whole silly thing. I got my ears cleaned this morning and got some smelly stuff sprayed on me. Mom's been putting all my toys away but I've been taking them back out. I have to have something to do to calm my nerves while I wait. Dad just went to get me some new bones to take with me that don't have Chase slobber on them. My bedding is all clean and my crate is ready to go. I'll feel really bad if these people return me like the last ones did. Mom printed up all the stuff about me so they'll know what I like and what I usually do. She even mentioned that I might poo on the floor after eating if I don't poo before. Geez mom, did you have to tell all my secrets?Well, wish me luck. I'm hoping they'll let me be on Indypaws once I get settled in. Mom will be keeping in touch with them and they only live about 3 miles from here so mom says we can visit AFTER I get settled in with them(which might take awhile). Thanks to everybody for being such good friends and such strong support while I've been looking for my "furever" family. I know there were times that mom thought I'd live here forever. To Betsy, Sanders, Alf, Molly and all you other guys waiting for your new homes-Hang in there-it'll happen. Mom put my info on Craiglist and that's how she met my new family. They still had to do everything through the rescue but at least my info got out to more places. Mom's not a big fan of Craigslist because it seems like a lot of people dump their dogs on there(she's seen some of the dogs that have been advertised on here as looking for new homes). The good thing about Craigslist is that people do look there to find new pets. They may not realized that they want a Wasset so they don't look for Wassets on Petfinder but Craigslist is all just a general pet section so they can see everybody at once. You might have your families give it a try. I know Alf has because Mom's seen him on there a few times. Good luck to my friends waiting for new homes. Midge, you're so cute and I would have loved being your sister but mom had already been meeting with these people. Maggie and Freckles, I'm sorry your dad didn't think you needed a Wasset.
