very cool!!! nice to finally see you!! hey, did you know there's another PWD on this site, too? her name is NICO. she is an agility dog, and i *think* a therapy dog too. you'll have to ask her mom to be sure. ;o)

Yes a lot of PWDS do get mistaken as Poodles. Since they are rare to find. A lot of people does not see them. Nico gets mistaken as an poodle sometimes. The Curly PWDS they are the ones that get mistaken as poodles a lot. Wavy's not so much as the curly's PWDS. But they do get mistaken as an poodle and some other breeds. Nico is a wavy PWD she gets mistaken as an poodle and other breeds.

I actually do get mistaken for either a poodle or a labradoodle (lab/poodle mix).
But a few experts can get my breed right.

Same with Nico she gets mistaken as an Doodle. I have a shirt goes I am not an doodle and on the back it says I am the real thing. Portuguese Water dog.

Hiya! I love Portugese water dogs! I admit I can't always tell the difference, though; how can I easily distinguish between a labradoodle, etc. without checking toes?

you see the PWD's sometimes in SAR, as cadaver dogs, i guess they do really well in that. (especially water cadaver) it's always funny when i see one at those places, and i say, "OHHH, a PWD!" the owners always get the biggest smile when i recognize their breed! :)
