"The Boyz" are gone

Oakley on Health - Wed, November 21 2007

Oakleys mom here. Oakley took a little trip today to the clinic and is now a neutered young man. Being a single mom of 3 and having one in college (boy is that expensive)I chose to take Oakley to the FACE clinic. I wasn't sure what to expect since I personally didn't know anyone who had went there and have heard some good and some iffy comments. I took Oakley in (after 2 weeks of trying to get an appt)and I had planned on bolting out the door with Oakley if I wasn't happy about the place and I was so pleasantly suprised. From the time we walked in until we walked out together, everyone there was nothing but supernice, caring and supportive. They talked to Oakley and treated him with with great respect and were very good about answering my questions about his procedure and care. I would definately reccomend them to anyone. As for Oakley, he did quite well and is resting comfortably and should be ready to beg for turkey tomorrow. Not too sure about his beautiful lamp shade though. LOL I don't know if anyone will read this as I know everyone is busy getting ready for tomorrows feast but if one person can pass the word on about FACE, it will be worth it. We should all be thankful that there are places like this to take our pets to prevent overpopulation and homeless animals. Everyone have a great Thanksgiving!!!

Wrigleys Mom here...my sister had her dog spayed at the FACE clinic about 4 years ago. She came down from Chicago and had it done. She too is a VERY PICKY dog owner so she had asked them how they do their surgerys for so cheap and they told her what they did. She then knew she wanted her dog to be one of the 1st dogs done...just her preference. Sophie was the 2nd or 3rd one done and had an excellent recovery and absolutely no scarring. I too agree that they do an excellent job and everyone there is super nice. I had a cat spayed there a long time ago and was very pleased.

That's good to know. I'll make sure to tell others whose pets aren't spayed or neutered yet about FACE. Oakley, make your mom give you some extra turkey!!
