Photos for Shelters

You should volunteer for IACC. There photos are terrible and you can't ever tell what the animall look like!

If u want to volunteer...GO FOR IT! All you have to do is ask! I think Basil's pix is COOL. 3yr Old taggin along? Don't worry! She may help with the pix...let people know how the Pets react! Don't want no harm...but if dogs,cats,etc. love kids...could work! GOOD LUCK!

Great idea! I know adoption agencies for children have begun using volunteer professional photographers to photograph the children. It has been shown to increase the number of adoptions, it seems logical that the same thing would happen with pets. I'm sure any shelter would LOVE your services.

Call them! IACC is 327-1397 and Indy Humane is 872-5650 and Hamilton Humane is 219-3324. They'd probably want digital images.

Also, I always fell like the advocate for FACE, but they are ALWAYS looking for volunteers. They have avery clean "cattery" where the cats roam free in about three large, closed off rooms. They have a lot of cats but only a hand full of them have pictures on the website because the employees there are always so busy! Their phone number is 638-3223.

Gosh, Basil's mom. It sounds like there are LOTS of avenues to check out. What a nice idea!

I'd say the cats in the pics for HSI and IACC need the most help! Some of the kitties are so cute in person, but so homely in pictures that no one comes looking for them. Good photos of cats online can only help!

Great idea Basil! We've been trying to get our Dad to do that for a long while. I'm sure they'd love the personal shots vs the mug shots they get sometimes.
