UH did I miss something? If you are talking about your babies...you need to do background checks. My mom had a friend who gave a guy back his $800 CASH for his "Show Quality" Rottie puppy when he carried it out and put it in the trunk of his car!!!!!!! She got the puppy back REAL QUICK! YEAH!MOMMA'S FRIEND! (She was a Rottie owner/trainer/SHOW dog owner!)
Hydrocephalus=water on the brain. Happens in humans too and they often have a larger than "normal" head. Chi's are supposed to have wide-set eyes, and most of the puppies appear to be photgraphed at around 4-6 weeks old, rather than 9-10 weeks. So, they probably look nothing like they do in the photos anymore, but still. Pisses me off to no end.
Btw--2 of Stevie's babies have "green" eyes right now. But, those will change to a nice amber/red color. The green doesn't stay unless it is a true green eye and you can tell at that age. Many dogs with light colored eyes in breeds where it is not normal are deaf anyway. And, at 4-6weeks all of Stevie's puppies fit in the palm of my hand too--it's nothing special.
But they have a "lifetime guarantee!" And they are asking up to $5,000 for these poor, wretched creatures, some of whom barely weigh a pound? Disgusting, greedy people. I wonder what happens to the ones who don't get adopted. On the other hand, you can fit 2 or 3 of them in a teacup, so they aren't taking up much space, and you probably wouldn't want to feed them too much or they wouldn't fit in a pocket.
Oh my gosh, that Web site is downright sick - literally makes me lose my appetite. Those puppies look so sad and scared. I agree with Crzy4Bgls - these celebs that make it glamorous to own a tiny dog or a big Pit or Rott are part of the problems. Without these loser celebs, maybe these types of sites wouldn't be as profitable.
We hate puppy mills...makes mommy cry to see all those innocent pups without a loving home to grow up in. Mom got both me and my sister Reese from a co-worker who owns both our birth parents, we were loved from the moment we arrived.
Although we have the same parents we have a big size difference - no one had ANY idea I was only going to get to 3 lbs and Reese would get to 6 lbs. - so to sell a "teacup" dog is B.S. - there is no guarantee on adult size. Another co-worker got a chihuahua from a pricey east-coast breeder, the dog ended up over 10 lbs! Mom tried to explain that full blooded chihuahuas shouldn't get that big, something is wrong with that breeder's animals yet they continue to breed them!!! (bigger dogs = more puppies to sell in a litter)
And you are right all those pups look young, both Reese and I could fit in mom's palm at 6 weeks!
