The only way we have found to deal with it is to make the litter box as inaccessible as possible to the dogs. It is such a hard wired and rewarding behavior that you are unlikely to cure her of it. We have one of the automatic litter boxes that scoops 10 minutes after the cat leaves it. We mostly keep the door to the bathroom shut when the dogs are loose in the house, and the cats go up and scratch on the door or sit outside of it when they need to use it. If you yell at her it's only going to make her afraid of you. It is very unlikely to stop the behavior.
I have yet to have a dinner date with the kitty crunchies, but mommy told me that her little sister tried them once when she was about two.
They must taste great if so many people are snacking on them.
Maybe your dad could elevate the litter box, so the cats could still jump up to use it, but it's too high for you to snack on. That would keep dad happy and eliminate the temptation for you.
Ewww! don't like poop - and I'm afraid of our kitties so I've never even tried. Like Colton, I wouldn't be able to get my head in there anyway...my dog sis Darby used to eat poop but not anymore, Mom says she just kinda outgrew the habit. Even she never tried the "kitty krunchies". Guess we are unusual since we don't...sounds like everyone else thinks it's yummy!
