I wanted to go to that Meet Up but momma volunteers with something called Second Helpings once a month and she says she has to go feed the homeless people tomorrow. I didn't realize there were homeless people like there were homeless dogs! I will stay home and play with the new foster dog Rufus...he's new in our house and momma says I gotta be nice to him. That's fine...you see, I think he's kinda cute.
Maybe I can go to the next meet up...I miss my bully friends!

Event Description
For our November meetup, let's return to Holliday Park. We'll meet in the parking lot adjacent to the park's Nature Center. If you need a last minute bathroom stop, there are restrooms inside the center (the entrace to the right side of the building when you're facing it from the parking lot).
The hiking trails behind the nature center include a couple good-sized hills, so you'll definitely want some sturdy walking shoes or hiking boots!
If you've never been to a meetup, please read through the general event description that follows. We look forward to meeting you!
Join us the second Saturday of every month for an opportunity to socialize with other bully breed lovers, and of course, bring your dogs to socialize too! To keep things interesting, we'll be trying to chose a different park on different sides of town for each event, so tell us your favorite parks on our Meetup Venue Suggestions discussion on our message board.
We start every social meetup with a short introductions period to let our dogs size up everyone else. Just as you don't like every human you meet, not every dog likes every other dog that he or she meets. We're working to add a new page to our meetup group with information on how to best introduce your dog to a new social situation, and how to handle the occasionally less-friendly greeting, but in the meantime please e-mail LeAnn or Lisa (or speak to them at the event) if you have any questions.
Because our dogs and humans get bored waiting around for us to get going, we will make every effort to start our walks promptly at 15 minutes after the hour. Usually we'll walk for 30-45 minutes, depending on the preferences of the attendees. (If we have participants who want to walk/hike longer, of course you're welcome to do so!)
When we return to our starting point with some good & tired dogs, we'll make sure the dogs and humans cool off with some water and rest, then we'll spend 15-30 minutes playing a game (with prizes!) such as a speed sitting contest, a photo costume contest or something else that we hope our canines & humans will enjoy.
Please remember that dogs must be on-leash, under human control at ALL times. For additional information on what is expected of you and your canine, please read the Meetup Event Guidelines.

Bully breed is more or less a group of breeds with similarities. Primarily, these are the American Pit Bull Terrier (APBT, also called a Pit Bull), the American Staffordshire Terrier (AmStaff), the Bull Terrier (BT), the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Miniature Bull Terrier and the American Bulldog. There are quite a few more breeds that can be considered bully breeds but those are the most common.
