Actually, if I chew on anything I'm not supposed to,it gets sprayed with apple bitter, then I leave it alone cause that stuff is yucky!
I love to chew on those flossing ropes (which last me around 3-6 months), but the kongs keep me busy too (a milk bone fits in the black one them perfect, then I toss it around till it comes out). Oh! And almost forgot, Ice Cubes feel great to chew on with new teeth coming in!
If I'm really hyper, I just go for a long walk with my mom and then when I get home I'm too tired to chew.
Just a few tips, I just turned 10 months old so definitely there with ya Annie!
Love,
Brutus
Don't feel bad my dogs are four years old and half your dog's size and they like to chew. I've got a hole in my porch wall to prove it. I will say that they are better now, but they still chew toys like they are going out of style. I give them rawhide rolls and that seems to be the only thing that lasts for any length of time.
i destroy toys in minutes, too. my mommy gets me Nylabone "bones" for chewing-on-toys (it's shaped like a bone, is white with a green center and comes in a few sizes). also, i get Gallilleo "bones" that are similar. i have three balls that are just for playing. one lights up when it hits the ground, one squeaks, and one has feet (CUZ ball) so me and mommy can play tug. my playing-only toys would get taken away from me if i started chewing on them. after they got taken just two times, i never chewed on them again. now i know the difference between what toys are ok to chew on, and which ones aren't. i'm still not allowed stuffed toys. way too tempting. it turns on my "kill and eat" instinct. i end up with stuffing in my "business", plus the vet said between the stuffing and the thread, those kinds of toys are very dangerous.
