Doggie Dreaming

Zoe♥Lewis on Behavior - Wed, November 07 2007

Zoe and Lewis' mom here...
Do your dogs ever dream? Zoe is notorious for barking in her sleep, and sometimes kicking. Lewis will whine and breathe like he is chasing something. I just think that it is so hilarious! Do you comfort your dogs if you think they are having doggie "nightmares"? We do!

I dream all the time. I kick in my sleep like I am trying to run. Mom only wakes me up if I start to cry or seem scared by something.

We ALL dream here at our house. It's really funny to watch the cats dream!!

The only time I interrupt Zoe's dreams is if she is barking loud. Ususally her "dream barking" is pretty quiet. I love to watch her sleep when she is dreaming. Her legs get moving and you can tell she is dreaming about running after something...it is too cute.

I dream, you can bet your sweet you-know-whats I do! Today I was dreaming about ice cream, weiner dogs, corgipalooza, and Thanksgiving. Sometimes I do have nightmares and Mom will gently shake me and say my name. It wakes me up and I snuggle even closer to Mom.

I often catch Andy dreaming. I have heard that dogs chase things in their dreams, which makes sense because he is always doing this little bark thing and moving his legs.

We're both dreamers here. You know I'm playing ball in my dreams -- my field of dreams!

In my dreams no one ever tells me "no bark" so I BARK, BARK, BARK!!!

You know, I've just noticed that my dogs snore and I think it is the cutest thing ever. Now, my boyfriend's Boxer dreams a lot. He starts breathing heavy and kicking his legs. I can only imagine he is running after a squirrel.
