FLEAS

Riley Coyote on My Blog - Tue, November 06 2007

Okay, mom said I could talk for her, I've seen some post about fleas. If you have to resort to bombing the house...get the name brand stuff at the store and you will have to do it again in about 2-3 weeks (check w/your vet) to kill the larvae that's hatched! Most bombs will not kill the larvae! The flea stuff in the stores DON'T WORK! The same goes for the WORMERS...all they have is piperzine in them and that just kills roundworms at best. Hook,Whip,Round and not to mention the little known Coccidia worms have to and must be treated by a veterinarian! They are the only ones who can truly get rid of those nasty characters. I'm listing only these because that's all mom knows about (since it's been about the time dinosaurs roamed the Earth that she worked at a vets office)!
The only reason she wants this posted is because the Store stuff is "Watered Down"...the stuff you get from the Vets! Well, that's why you have to have an RX for it! It's the potent stuff that takes care of us. Just like when you 2 legged critters go to the Doctor. You can't get the stuff that really works @ the Stores! I know it's pricey, but so is the human meds.

Nancy here, sorry, just had to say it! My babies get only Vet approved meds and treatments. I know they work!

Don't forget you can now buy Advantage and Frontline over the counter at many pet supply places and online (I use Drs Foster and smith.com), so you don't actually have to purchase it from your vet anymore.
