My visit

Dayzee-Adopted!!!! on Activities - Sun, October 28 2007

Oh, I've been really sleepy this morning. I didn't get home until after midnight and dad had to do some work at 2 AM. Not too much sleep going on around here last night. I got to go stay with Maggie and Freckles and their family yesterday. My foster parents had to go all the way over to Ohio to go to a wedding. Not sure what that's all about but they smelled like other dogs and food when they got back. Smelled like it could have been fun. I had fun at Maggie and Freckles' house but I didn't want them to know. I like to keep things on the down low. We ate pupcorn that their mom fixed for us. I wouldn't eat my supper and I told Freckles that she could have it. I guess her mom didn't believe her because she didn't get to eat it. They have a great back yard with a fence! It was heaven to walk around without a leash on. I found out that I'm more like a Basset than a Dachshund. I followed Freckles around on perimeter patrol and played in the mulch. That was really cool. I even got to take a nap in the big bed with them and their mom. That made me feel better and not so scared. They were all really nice to me and I liked visiting them. I was a pretty good girl-no pooping or chewing on anything. They had a fireplace that was pretty interesting. It was warm-which I like- but it made a lot of noise. I'm not sure Maggie liked me that much but I liked her. She reminded me of Chase and Blitzen. Chase was really jealous when I told him where I had been.They had to go stay with Grandpa and Chase's dreaded evil nemesis-Hootie. Everybody was so nice to me and I got to meet their Grandpa. I tricked him. He thought another dog snuck in the house somehow and that nobody knew about it. Ha ha. Thanks to all of them for letting me stay there. The more places I go and things I do, the braver I get. Hopefully one day soon, someone will want me to be their forever dog.

We passed out on the big bed after you left Dayzee. You missed out on some serious snoozing. I don't think I moved until the alarm went off this morning. If you still haven't eaten your food by today, you can have your mom send it over to our house. You'll even get a little doxie in return. Doesn't your mom collect them all anyway? I don't think she has a smooth red doxie yet. This could complete her set!!

I told you guys there were no "give backs". I couldn't believe they picked up the Wasset after telling us we were going home. Hey Maggie. Did you hear me barking at you last night? I was in the car waiting for you but instead all I got was a big stinky Wasset. Maybe next time my little tomato.

Chase, are you flirting with me?? I don't think Starter the Corgi would like that very much...we're an item right now. Besides, I don't think you could ever be tied down to just one girl, as perfect as I am for you. You're just one of those boys that would break a girl's heart...or make her deaf.

You did really good, Dayzee...we hope you get less and less afraid of other doggies and people. I know there's a forever home for you out there....Rescue said you'd be perfect down here...but he's just lookin' at your ears and how he can chew on them. Besides, him and Baby are supposed to be an item now...he's a wild man, so I'm wishin' Baby a lot of luck with that. I'm in hiding 'cause of the dreaded bee suit....later!

What's this about popcorn for dogs that your mama left for us and my mama FORGOT about? You mean to tell me we couldda had our own bag of dog popcorn?? And we had to eat from the same bowl as those human animals? Ew. I gotta go rinse my mouth out in the toilet. Who knows where their hands and mouth have been!
