My brother Hootie has the same problem. He hates storms and drums and fireworks. Mom buys him an herbal pill at Petsmart called Pet Eeze. It's amazing. He loves firewords now. It just takes the edge off so he's not trying to tear down the house. It doesn't make him hungover or anything and it's fast acting. You might try it next time it storms. I think you'll be much happier.
