Who's coming over to MY house!?

Maggie on My Blog - Fri, October 26 2007

While I was napping by dad this evening, I overheard him talking to mom about grandpa staying with us tonight. Freckles and I have been training him over the past couple of weeks, so we're excited about him giving us cookies.

However, I also heard dad talking about us taking in a visitor for a day this weekend. Dayzee, the adoptable wasset, will be mooching off of my parents while her foster parents are in Ohio for the day.

I suppose her staying for the day is fine, but I'm setting some ground rules first:

1) Mom and Dad's laps are mine and mine only.

2) I get to run and bark at anyone at the door first. She has to stay back with Freckles as my backup.

3) She has to ask permission to "give" at the office.

4) She has to eat Freckles dog food, not mine. I'm just greedy.

I'll probably think of more rules later, but I'm prepping for my mid evening nap.

Will it be a sleepover? Maybe she will bring some treats for you!!! That would be a good houseguest present.

I suppose everybody can come over, but the rules apply to everybody who visits. You can all take the guest bed because the big bed will be occupied. (Don't blame me if Grandpa finds out you've been in his bed...)Lola, I could teach you a lot about being all the doxie your family can handle ;)

Hey baby, you should have told me it was a sleepover. I'll bring a blanket or two and you can snuggle with me. Heck, I'll even bring you a bone or some other tasty morsel(besides myself I mean). By the way, no need to return the Wasset. I plan on changing the entry code once she's out so she can't get back in.

Can boys come to the sleepover? I'd love to spend some quality time with you, my darling Maddie. :-)

There sure are a lot of rules there....poor little Dayzee. Mama said that she needs socialization...whatever that means. Please be nice to her, Maggie, she doesn't have a forever home yet.
