STUART IS HOME! :)

Speedy and (RIP) Stuart on Health - Thu, October 25 2007

just wanted to thank everyone for the well wishes, and prayers!!! i picked him up at the vet this evening. the blood work taken yesterday was slightly worse than what they took today, so whatever it was, he's hopefully on the mend. i and the vet has pretty much concluded that the "episode" he had was likely some kind of seizure.not sure what may have brought it on. he's on meds for the next week or so, and when i let him out of the carrier, he went right to the water dish, had a drink, then ate some canned merrick. then he went and hid, LOL. anyhow, he still seems a little weird acting to me, but if he did have some type of neurological episode, who knows what that did to his brain? i hope he gets back to his old self. he's still doing the weird itching/licking thing. tomorrow, i'm going to call the vet to see if i can put him on frontline, just to be on the safe side, but as i said in an earlier post, i could find NO fleas or flea dirt. anyhow, we are just happy to have him back home, speedy is definitely happier! :)

Thanks very much for the update, as we were wondering. We cats have strange neurological systems. Let's hope Stuart is on the mend.

Welcome home, Stuie. Maybe you had what great grandma Jessica had last year. The vet thinks it was a heat stroke or seizure. She got a lot better but she still does weird stuff. Of course she is 16 yrs. old.

We're so glad you're back home. It's no fun to be at the vet and feel yucky. Take care of yourself.
