Somehow, I have a hole in the lens of my eye. Mom doesn't know if I poked it with a stick or what. She noticed me holding it shut late Thursday night. We had some drops from my surgery so mom started using them. She thought maybe I had gotten something in it or it was irritated. She didn't see anything wrong with it. Saturday I was holding it open more, so mom thought it was better. Well, now mom feels like a BAD MOM because it wasn't better! We went to the vet yesterday and he said those particular drops would slow the healing process. Mom also got to see the hole. It's the size of a pencil eraser! It's just on the lens though, so it's really hard to see if you don't have the tools. The vet gave us different drops to use and told mom to make sure a bubble doesn't form on my eye. He doesn't think it will because the cut doesn't look to be really deep. If it does, I have to go to the emergency clinic! A bubble means fluid is leaking from the inside of my eye. Everybody please say a prayer my eye will heal up OK. Mom is really worried and feeling badly.
