I saw the story on the Today Show this morning. I thought it was interesting. They said there are over 150 shelters across the country so far who participate in keeping the website up and running. It's super sad. I don't know exactly how it works, but they are partnered with shelters throughout the entire country. I think the point is to tug on the heartstrings of people considering adopting a dog. This way, if you see they only have 2 days to live, you will be more likely to adopt him! It also brings up other issues of impulse adoptions, too, which isn't always a good thing....I just thought it was interesting, so I thought I'd post it.
