need help picking out a cat door...

Jordan on Health - Thu, October 11 2007

Hi All, we are moving into a house with an attached garage so our litterbox will now be in the garage. What I need help with is finding a cat door that is compatible with a hollow core door and is decently weather proof. The garage isn't very well insulated. So if you have any recommendations please let me know, I'm looking to purchase a door within the next week. xoxoxo Regina, Jordan

We did this. We used a large rubbermaid storage container with a lid, cut a hole in the wall into to garage and in went a doggie door. Mom fills the container with litter cause theres 4 of us and she only want to clean one litter box. If you want your mom can put a litter pan in the big container and insulate around the opening into the house. The large container also keeps us in to house when the garage door opens because we only go outside when mom has time to watch us.

What a great idea! Why didn't I think of that? Hmmm...maybe we'll do the same thing. I don't like the laundry room smelling like cat all the time...neither does my son, who's room is on the other side of the laundry chute/door.
