Hmmm...that's a little wierd. Do they think you are high risk for some reason? Alf was "high risk" and had to stay overnight, but that's because he is a sighthound (sensative to anesthesia), large, and older. I picked him up the next day. They may want to feed her Sceince Diet A/D canned food after surgery...that's all I can think of--it's good for animals that recooperating from surgery or another tramatic event. Is it cause it's Friday tomorrow--why won't they let you pick her up on Saturday?
Well actually Bella is going in on Monday night, she has to be there by 4:30, and her surgery is in the morning. And then I can come and get her anytime on Wednesday. I guess I never questioned why she had to be there two nights, she's the first dog I've had to take to be fixed. We are up in the northern part of the state. I actually think the night after would be easier for her to be there rather than at my mom's house with the other dogs, simply because she's going to really want to run around with them and she won't be able to. And no one will be there in the morning to keep an eye on her. I'm still considering hiding her here at school for a couple of days so she can rest up in piece.
