Fire safety.

Tabitha on My Blog - Tue, October 09 2007

Okay, I'll admit, I am a worry-wart. I have this bad habit of convincing myself that something bad is going to happen. For example, yesterday on my way to work, I had myself convinced I left my straightener plugged in and turned on. I knew, I mean I really KNEW that I hadn't, but I couldn't shake the feeling. I couldn't stop thinking about my poor animals stuck in a fire with no way to escape :(

Of course, the straightener was NOT turned on or plugged in or turned on, but it really got me to think about fire safety and my animals. So my roommate and I have started discussing a fire safety plan for the dogs and cat. It it still in the works, but I think it is a good idea for any animal owners. And if any of you guys already have something like this, I could some tips. Thanks!

I know you can get static window signs to indicate that you have pets in the house in case the fire dept shows up for something. www.petalertdecal.com (I'm sure you can shop eBay for them as well)

I always do that same thing!! I hate worrying like that, but sometimes I just can't help it! I was able to pick up some decals for the windows at PetFest this weekend, so the firemen know how many pets are inside. I feel a little better having those up.
