How about a BEAGLE CLUB?

Molly on Behavior - Fri, May 25 2007

Hi to all my fellow Beags... Before moving to Indy a few years ago, we lived in California and belonged to a Beagle Club. It was AWESOME! We met the first Saturday of each month from 9am to 12pm at a fenced-in area of a dog park (they told us here in Indy that they won't rent it out like they did on the West Coast). It was SO MUCH fun to meet other pooches that speak our language (sometimes as many as 100 Beagles showed up!), and our parents got to share stories and advice. We also had monthly group walks at different scenic spots. It was such a BLAST! We really miss the Beagle Club, but at the moment we live in an apartment, and my Mom hasn't been able to find any fenced in area we can use. Is there any interest for this out there, and if so, do any of you have any ideas or suggestions?? Woo Woo... Molly

A beagle club! That would be awesome! Mom's dream come true.....beagles, beagles everywhere! I don't have any creative ideas of where we could meet just yet, but please count us in!

Fine with me. That will make it easier for everyone to pay their jerky treat tributes to The Beagle Queen ... me.

As a new member of IndyPaws, I would love the chance to sniff/meet new friends. There is a dog park on the south side but you have to be registered to go and it is 40 bucks per dog for a year (at least thats what mom thinks, and my mom is the smartest mom ever). I think my mom said Eagle Creek Park has a dog area, not sure though.

The latest update about a beagle club is that here have been some distinct rumblings ... though that could because of the pepper sausage that Beauregard stole. Barney, you are right about the park on the south side. That's amazing, because if you use it six times a year it would cost as much as a new beagle from the humane society. I propose a location we all know and would love: next to the dumpster at the downtown Shapiro's.

What about that private bark park in Fishers that has a small pond/pool. It is four acres and costs $7 for a visit and need to have necessary paperwork. I have seen photos of Beagle Brigades and Beagle Bashs so would love to meet other beages and have my Mom and Dad come too....they have to drive as I have trouble with the SUV! But I do stand on Mom's gearshift to help her sometimes!!

My Mommy and Daddy have been looking for a place for me to meet up with other beagles. Mommy calls it 'Beagle Mentoring' whatever that means. We're westsiders and do not live far from the Eagle Creek Bark Park. Any thoughts?

Beagles everywhere! How exciting. Let's get this thing going. Besides, I apparently owe Perl some jerky treats and/or bowls of popcorn. I need to find a way to meet up with her to pay up.

What about beagle mixes?

As long as it doesn't cut into my nap time. I'd be interested.

I get my first rabies shot in 3 weeks. Can we do it after the 27th of this month? What day would be good for everyone and where would we meet?

First of all cool name Molly..
We would love to be a part of a Beagle Club. We would definitely come. Let us know when you find a place or if we here of somewhere we will let you know! We live in Avon so Eagle Creek sounds good or we would be willing to travel to a different side of town for me to play with other friends.
