SKIPPY SHOE SAGA CONTINUED

Skippy on My Blog - Mon, October 08 2007

Yes, I did it again today. Mom came home from work and on the living room floor was what was left of Kerrys insole. I really destroyed it this time. Mom had to get on her hands and knees to get it all. She sprayed some of that bad tasting stuff in the shoes, but I kinda developed a taste for it. So she told me she didn't think she could rescue me tonight when Kerry gets home. There is no way of trying to put this one back together. I had the other one on the bed, but I got bored with it, and left it alone. Kerry should put his shoes in that little room with the sliding doors where Mom keeps hers and I wouldn't be tempted to be bad. Thats what Mom says. Kerry won't listen to us though. Mom says it a man thing. I don't know what that means. I know after he yells at me, Mom will get me and cuddle me and all will be ok. I just have to get thru this the best I can. I am a brave boy. I will survive, cause Mom will take care of me, no matter how bad I am. BYE

It took my dad a long time to figure out that it was his responsibility to keep his dirty underwear someplace where I couldn't get it. I LOVE that stuff! When he finally grew tired of having holes chewed in his boxer briefs, he started making sure they were in the dirty clothes basket. If Kerry is smart, he'll figure it out. Mom was too tired to put some of her stuff away after their trip and I chewed on her yummy toothbrush. Well, I chewed it into sharp little pieces. It tasted like her mouth, and I LOVE her mouth. Also a Tide Stain Stick. She was more worried about me than mad, cause she knew it was her fault.

Oh Skippy I too have a shoe addiction :0) Mom's lost a total of 10 pairs (6 were flip flops .. my weakness). After the first couple of pairs mom learned to keep her shoes in the closet. But then I learned how to reach up on her shoe shelves and grab a pair :0) And I'm incredibly sneaky about eating her shoes! I eat them when she's home and not focused 100% on me!! (I find phone calls are an excellent time to run off & grab a shoe!) LUCKILY mom only holds a grudge for about 15min. I just try & give my best "I'm sorry" face and woo her back :0)

Skippy, you can eat my Moms shoes any day of the week. I think you're so cute! Don't let Kerry blame you for his mistake.

People...why don't they blame themselves for this kind of stuff? I was a shoe chewer when Momma first got me. Momma learned to put her shoes away and I don't chew on them anymore. Sometimes, though, I'll pick up one of her flip flops and take it to her so she'll get up and take me for a walk. But I don't chew on it!!

Look at it this way, at least you can control your bladder and bowels while inside the house, right? Celebrate what's right with you! I hope you don't get into too much trouble, Skippy. Use the sad look. Kisses.

Yeah...sad looks always work for me, but I don't chew up anything anymore. Just stay close to your mama, I'm sure she's on your side.

If we chew up dad's stuff, mom tells him we're trying to train him to put his things away. She says since he doesn't respond to her verbal commands, that us dogs are trying best we can to get it through to him!! ;) Come to think of it, he may have learned because we haven't chewed anything up in a while!
