Nancy here, I feel your pain. The Oakster had the runs too. I got out of bed yesterday morning to this aweful smell and I went into the living room and there were two HUGE spots on the carpet. Poor Oakley just looked at me knowing that I was going to be upset. I was horrified but I am sure he tried his best to hold it till it was time for me to get up. I have had him since he was 12 weeks old and not one time ever has he pooped on the floor. So, now my dilema- i have used several things to spot clean the carpet and there are still stains there. I borrowed my moms shampooer but is there any surefire solution to get rid of the stains?

Mama T- He's never gotten the runs (knock on wood) but he does vomit when he eats too much. I've used Resolve for Pets. It works but not as well as I would like. I've been there with the temper tantrums though. Hope your weekend goes well.

Thanks, I will try anything at this point. I just want my carpet back to normal. If I weren't so broke right now, I would like to pitch my sweeper out the door and get a new one too! LOL I am due for a good temper tantrum.

Yep- I'd love one of those big purple Dysons that'll suck up dog hair from across the room. Here's a laugh for you all and it probably won't make you feel better but during the course of this week, I've ran out of dog food, locked all my billing and coding paperwork in a cabinet at work and forgot the key at home and today, I thought I had left my purse in the house so as I am backing up from the drive, I "run over" something. Thinking oh crap, it's a chicken. NOPE, It was my purse. It had fallen out of the car last evening while I was attempting to get things out and manuever Ernest. Nice tire tred on it. Covered in mud and crushed a bottle of vitamins. A new week starts Sunday, right???

I feel your pain. That morning Beverly got sick, she had the runs at 3:30 or 4:00AM. There were like 4 different nice-sized spots on my bedroom carpet. Nothing like cleaning poo before even having your coffee! Your mess is worse than mine though because at least my steam cleaner and vaccuum worked for me. I had to chuckle when you said you threw the vaccuum out the door. That sounds like something I would've done! :)

Ok Mama T, that was a funny story. LOL I am sorry you had a few issues this week but hopefully life will be looking good for the weekend.Plus, don't you have a good excuse now to go buy a new purse? Sounds like a good one to me. LOL

OOOHHH! Mamma feels your pain...Bogie has decided that he is going to pee in the house while mom is at work! She's really upset cause we are getting a new sister this fall. Mom said she's going to cage her until she has her house broke...NOOOOO I want her to run loose with me so I can help train her! Oh I am so mad at Bogie right now!

Mama here - I have discovered the best carpet cleaner ever. It is a comes in a spray can that you just spray on the carpet and it just disappears. I have used it on everything including a five year old wine stain on a white carpet. They say on the can that they don't guarantee anything if you have used other products on the stain, but I have found that it still works. It is called "Lifter 1". It is sold auto parts stores like Autozone and others. Comes in a blue can. I cannot say enough about this stuff! All of my friends swear by it.

Wow, this is like a support group for victims of dog explosions! Freckles has had the runs on my bedroom carpet before. And of course it was in the middle of the night. I was so tired and disgusted I poured hydrogen peroxide onto the stain and scrubbed it and then rinsed the spot (it did lighten the color a little). (the carpet is old and a has a natural poop brown color, anyway) We use OxyClean on the pee spots in the office...but that carpet is light colored. We got a ton of gift cards as wedding gifts last year and bought a Dyson Purple Animal at Target. It works great with sucking up the fur! If only I could vacuum the dogs with it...

LOL, this IS like a poopie support group, LMAO!!! i don't know if you all remember, but JOE crapped on the same floor earlier this week, and IT was slightly runny too!!!(plus i used up all the OXY carpet cleaner on THAT!) this is WHITE Berber carpet, too. of course, it's kinds light tan, LOL, from dirty joe, but i was going to wait to clean the carpet after i got back from the seminar next week. i WISH i could afford a dyson, i have heard such great things about those! i couldn't even afford a used one, LOL! anyhow, i'm gonna see what they have at K mart tomorrow, because i don't feel like driving anyplace else, LOL.i'm gonna have to try that "lifter 1" stuff, sounds good! in case anyone thought i was exaggerating, i totally DID throw that damn old sweeper right out the back door, LOL. my neighbors probably think i am so white trash, but it did make me feel better to do that, haha. when i was telling my friend about it, she said she was laughing so hard, she was gonna pee her pants, hahaha!!!

Peaches mama here and laughing at the sweeper throwing, beer drinking, purse smushing, poop scooping week you all have had. I'm sorry as I'm sure it wasn't at all funny while it was happening, but it sure made for good reading. All of a sudden, my leaky dishwasher doesn't seem to be all that bad. Thanks for the lift!!!! wow you guys are makin me feel like a champ for only upchucking my food. i haven't pooped inside for a long time, but the last time i got sick was on mommy's nice white comforter-- kingsize, so you can't just toss it in the washing machine, ya gotta take it to the laundromat. With bleach. And mom uses Woolite's Pet Stain Remover on my chunks, it works great!
