My mommy has a tornado kit in her walk-in closet. My leash is there. I found the treats she had hidden in there. I don't know if she knows they're gone and I need more. :-)
Mommy used to be so afraid of storms that she was in the closet as soon as it was bad outside. But when she found me in the closet, after looking frantically for me, during a storm she knew she had to calm down. I'm proud of her. We go outside and watch the storms coming in now. But we move inside and watch TV and listen to the radio and get ready to go to our tornado room now. I don't like the noises of storms.
My mom and dad don't have a basement, so we go to the laundry room. I'm usually already in there, hiding behind the water heater, so it's just a matter of getting my brother to come in too. It's not a big room so it's cozy! Our treats and water are in there already so it works out pretty good. They're slow to come join me though. They wait till storms are REAL bad. I'm in there at the first rumble of thunder.
We're lucky enough not to live in a place that has tornadoes. The worst we get here is high winds and lots of rain. Sometimes there is thunder and lightening. I don't like the noise thunder makes. I usually start barking when it starts. Madison pulls me into her lap to rub my tummy and I usually fall asleep.
Madison keeps thinking she should put together an earthquake kit. The more I think of it, the more I think it's a good idea.
