Road Kill Buffet Poem

I live in the country,
Far away from town.

Where there are critters,
that all run around.

There are so many, and I catch a few,
The rest all run and hide out of view.

From out of nowhere,
I hear a car,
It's right outside, it can't be far!

I'm running and chasing,
will it make it across?

Mom yells STOP,and she is the boss!

I don't think he made it,
Did I hear him go splat?

I have to go find it,
I need to roll in that!

Should I bring it to mom
or save it for later,

If I wait a few days,
it will really smell better!

I think I'll go roll in my Road Kill Buffet,
Then take a nap, and call it a day!

Yeah, needless to say, I have to take LOTS of baths!!! And it is always when I get the smell just the way I like it!!!

Hmmm...what's road kill? I live in the city and my mama says I don't need to know about road kill. Sounds like you sure have fun with it though. Can I come to your house sometime?

Well Deuce, let me just tell ya, You are missing out!!! Road Kill is Awesome!! But listen to your mom! It is a nasty addiction to get a hooked on!! Mom says I need to join "RKA"! She says it is kinda like "AA"! Once you try the Road Kill Buffet, you are doomed to an ever after road search that can be very dangerous! Mom said that I have had a couple of close calls!

Very nice...I saw a squirrel get KO'd in front of us yesterday. I was hanging my head out the window as far as I could to see it. Mama was concerned I was gonna make a break for it.

Well, it is in the nature of the beast Nemo! I do have to tell you though, there are not to many rabbits hit out here an the road! I guess they are too quick! It is mainley opossums and raccoons! I didn't mean to upset you!!
