Anti-lock brakes work!

Alvin on Health - Fri, September 28 2007

This morning, around 5:15am, when my mom was going to the gym, she saw some motion out of the corner of her eye...

So she slowed down some, then realized it was a DOG! She slammed on her brakes hard enough that the anti-lock feature had to go to work.

The dog was a black lab wandering around loose! He'd have left a mark in the bumper for certain... Fortunately for both parties that: 1) mom was alert enough to notice some motion, 2) brakes are in good working order, 3) dog didn't get hit.

I really wish people would take better care of their pets. The dog's life/health depends on it! Next time he's out the driver may be chatting on a cell phone and not paying any attention at all.

I know. This morning Momma saw a cute little pomeranian on Carson Ave. just at the road. She's seen this dog before so she knows it lives right around there. How irresponsible to let your babies get near the road like that!

I've said it before...some people don't deserve to have a dog. I'm glad that BOTH of you are safe.
