Coyotes??!!

Barney on Activities - Fri, September 21 2007

This morning while we were walking, mind you this is at 4:30 am, my sister Katie went into the soybean field and attacked or was attacked by something that sounded like a dog but not a a dog, if that makes any sense. Mom started yelling and we never heard any yelping. She seemed ok. Mom lets her walk off leash because she is really good about staying with us. We HAVE to be on leash!!! If mom doesn't take her she barks her head off while we are gone....not good at those hours...Does anyone think it was a coyote, or was it some other critter????? It was too dark for mom to see anything, but she did hear rustling in the beans as we went by.

Im sure it wasn't a coyote...Katie wouldn't have survived. I'm sorry to hear that this happened. I am part Coyote, but I guess the German Shepherd part is stronger in me. I love people and other animals. As a matter of fact I got to kiss my newest neighbor...she's about 6 months old and her name is Katie too! She was a chubby little baby! And so sweet!
As far as your mystery attacker..I'd say since they were in the beans it could have been a racoon or a possum. Hope that helps!
