Owww! My little foot!

Ojo on My Blog - Tue, September 18 2007

It's never 'fun' when we see the nail trimmer come out. We get flipped on our backs, paws to the breeze, and prepare for the worst.

Mom was trimming our nails when Daddy walked into the room and accidently kicked my ball. Well, we all know how I am about my ball by now so yes, I pulled away just as Mom was clipping. Needless to say, she knicked my quick a tiny tiny bit. It didn't even bleed unless you pushed on my paw but yikes! That was too close for comfort.

Bad thing was that it happened with toe #3 -- I still had to lie there with 13 more toes to go ... with my ball laying just inches away from me!

I milked it though. Mom got the guilts ... and I got a cookie.

A cookie? As in ONE cookie? Babycakes, you deserved more than one. Not only did you have to get your nails trimmed, you didn't get to chase your ball. Next time hold out for Frosty Paws.

Ojo, you're so funny!!! And you're a good good boy for letting Mommy trim your nails! Mommy has to do mine when I'm in my bath and distracted by the water. My nails are softer, too, so it's easier and it doesn't scare me so much. xoxo FiFi

Poor Ojo, and with a ball right beside you. You are soooo brave. I don't know how you did it. I really freak if mama nicks my toe and it even looks like it might bleed.

I hate those evil nail trimmers. I sit very still while mom trims mine because I am scared! I always get a nice treat when we're done too.

Obviously I am doing something wrong here, I just lay quitely while mom trims my nails. I do NOT get treats afterwards...I will have to talk to mom about this.
