Back from the vet

Blitzen on My Blog - Fri, September 14 2007

well, I made it through my vet visit. I was so excited when mom came home early and took only me out of the crates. I thought we were going someplace special. I was walking along wagging my tail until we got to the door of the vet. Then I could smell it-the animals, the fear, the medicine smell. I stopped walking right then. Mom had to pick me up and carry me in. My weight was good. I dropped a few ounces since last time. Mom showed the girls all our pictures. They really liked the one of me wearing my hoodie. The vet came in and checked me out and went over my ultrasound report. He thought my lump was ok but he stuck it with a needle anyway. Ouch, that hurt! Then he went and looked at it and gave mom a thumb's up. he said it's only fat in there. So this time fat was a good thing. I was really crying after he stuck me. I got mom all wet with my tears. then we went to Wipe Your Pawz and got some treats and some new shirts that were on sale. Once we put them on, we'll put our new pics on here. If anybody needs a vet on the NW side, Dr Tysklind and his staff are really nice. They gave us discount coupons we can give to our friends so they can get $25 off on their first visit. PM mom if you want one or it you need a new vet. Mom was so happy that I'm ok. We were both very tired though and took a nap before supper.

Oooh Oooh Oooh!!! I can't wait for a photo fashion show from you guys! I love the clothing at WYP! I'm also glad that you're fine. Just another fat lump to add to the collection...never hurt anybody, right?

Blitzen,
I'm glad your lump is nothing serious. But what is Wipe Your Pawz? It sounds cool!

OH, Blitzen, we are glad you just turned out to be fat! Although Maddie says it really doesn't show.

Oh pooooor Blitzen! I'm so sorry you had to get stuck with a needle. I am very glad everything is ok and I know this makes your momma happy. Wipe your tears and be brave, they only do this to you cause they love you and want you to be healthy.

I feel your pain. I get stuck with a needle in MY BLADDER ever single time I have to go to the vet. What's worse is Mom has to make sure there is enough pee in there so she locks me in my carrier long before we leave. I have to travel all the way there, get stuck, poked, and prodded on, and then travel the long car ride back with an almost full bladder. And they do this all in the name of LOVE? Sounds like abuse to me.....can someone dial ACC for me?

I know all about fat....good stuff there. Glad everything turned out ok, but I don't like to get stuck with needles either. I think you were very brave.
