alex the african grey dies...

What an amazing bird. It's so sad to lose a bird who has taught us so much about animals.

This bird is amazing! I actually had a teacher in college who, while doing her graduate work, was responsible for taking care of Alex--she had some wonderful stories about him!

I saw Good Morning America's segement on Alex this morning. I had never heard of him before. He was totally amazing. It changed my perception of birds in that they are not all scary creatures with beaks (just kidding). He was also born the same year I was. Poor baby.
