I was in the house while Mom was at work. She came home about 3 1/2 hours later for lunch, like she does everyday 'cause I'm so spoiled. When we went outside, the stray we picked up this morning was gone! We have a big, chainlink fenced in back yard. The gate was still bungee corded shut (after my last breakout, the cord was Mom's addition), but she was nowhere to be seen. Mom was upset, but she did everything she knew how to do. She was dreading the people calling her back only to have to tell them that their dog was gone again. Turns out that wasn't all that bad. There was a lady that called Mom at work, and she said that she was sorry, but there was nobody by that name at that number. The lady had had the number for TWO YEARS and is still getting calls for people with Ravina's last name. Mom just can't imagine why Ravina stopped by, and why she left. All we can hope now is that she's happy and healthy wherever she goes. Maybe she'll find a nice retired couple to make her the center of their world. She was really whiney when Mom left for work. She was probably just lonesome and wanted someone to love on her. Sorry girlie, but I hold that position in this house. I can't wait til Mom gets home to hug me tight! I don't ever want to run away again! I hope she doesn't find anymore charity cases, either. Next time she'll probably put them inside with me so they don't run off again until she can do something about it.
