this is a very interesting article. it says how cats who live in homes with smokers are more likely to get mouth cancers, because they lick the "stuff" from the cigarettes off their fur! plus, dogs who live in homes with smokers are more likely to have nose/sinus cancers. that is so sad.we groom a few dogs that smell so strong like smoke, it won't even wash out, after several shampoos! my husband smokes, but ONLY out on the screened porch. he always has, but we are especially careful now, because of joe, since he NEEDS that nose to work! we don't want him not being able to work, because smoking has screwed with his sense of smell, that would be terrible! anyhow, we all know smoking or second hand smoke is bad, but i thought this article was pretty interesting for pet lovers...smokers or not. ;o)

Makes sense! We went to a dachshund breeder about 5 years ago and she was smoking around those newborn puppies!!!! Needless to say, we DID NOT get a puppy from her! Although, I wanted to scoop them all up and get them out of there!!!!
