HIGH GA$ PRICE$-HELP

Dixie LuLu on Shopping - Fri, September 07 2007

The Beech Grove Wal-Mart is selling regular grade gas for $3.02 a gallon. If you put money on a shopping card and purchase your gas with it they are giving you $0.07 off a gallon for a limited time. Usually it is only $0.03 off.

You end up paying only $2.95 for your gallon of regular unleaded. Far from cheap but I have been all over the place earlier today running animals to the vet and running errands for work and that is the cheapest I have seen it. This was current as of about 1pm today.

I know this isn't pet realated but I was just so excited because I ABSOLUTELY REFUSE to pay $3+ for a gallon of gas. My gas light was on and I was going to be in trouble soon. I wanted to share the "wealth" with others ☺

If people didn't act so stupid when driving, I could ride my bike all over the place and use ZERO gallons of gas. I drive ~34mi/day, multiply by 4 (4, 10hr days), that's 136mi/week. At 26mi/gal (ave) that's 5.23 gallons... so each week I could save $14.60-15.70 just to and from work. May not seem like a lot at first, but in time it adds up! I saved lots of $$ when I could bike into where I worked... there's no safe way to pedal my way in now. :(
