Orange Siamese?

Calamity Jane on Breeds - Fri, September 07 2007

I'm from a rescue shelter so I don't really know my birth family, except my sister. My vet said she wouldn't be surprised if I had some Siamese in my background because of the look of my face and my shape. I'm also very smart, friendly (though I'm hardly ever a lap cat) and very vocal - I cry and meow all the time with a large and varied "vocabulary". I think those things might be characteristic of Siamese kitties. But, I'm orange and white, which mom says isn't what she thinks of when she thinks of Siamese. The vet didn't say the same about Penny... Does anyone else have Siamese roots but not look like it?

There are 3 orange kittens available at HSI that are siamese-mix kittens. They don't really look it beyond some facial similarities, but their mom was very obviously siamese with her blue eyes and orange points. So it is possible you have some siamese in you, just don't look it.

You also look like Cinnamon, who is still missing from Indy's NE side...

Yeah, I've found a quite a few orange and white kitties around IndyPaws that I could be related to... and I promise I've been inside (except for a few trips to the vet) since November - I'm not Cinnamon - but I hope he finds his way home soon. (I have an orange nose and his is pink!)

My family still speaks of an 18 pound black and white tuxedo cat that they had for about the same number of years. The people who gave him to them said he was "part Siamese." He certainly didn't look the part, but they said that when he became really upset or mad, his "meow" gave way to very distinctive and unmistakable Siamese "Wail," and then they knew for sure he was "part Siamese."
I like having my people all to myself so no cats in the house right now, thank you.

what about a flame-point siamese? you could be one of those, you know! at least you're probably a mix of that and another kittie cat.
