Gotcha day

Kinky on My Blog - Wed, September 05 2007

Well, my official gotcha day came and went, with barely any notice from the humans. That is to be expected in a dog oriented home like ours. Mom officially got me from rescue on Labor Day last year, so my gotcha day was day before yesterday. I am grateful, because I love my dad so much. He and I were meant to be together. Mom has birthday parties for Maddie and Sydney, but I have not noticed any for us felines. I think she might have said "Happy gotcha day, Kinky" but that might have been wishful thinking on my part. Oh well. I'm warm, well fed, and happy with dad, so I will forgive her.

Mom skipped my birthday last month. She got me a collar but it's too big. I didn't get a cake or anything. That's just wrong. I should be treated like the princess I am. If I liked cats, we could have our own party but I'd probably try to eat you so I better pass.

Holy cow! I feel so sorry for you, Kinky! Dad knows and celebrates my birthday and adoption day! Maybe it's those pesky canines. They manipulate humans in so many ways; it's just not right.

My first birthday is coming up this month. I'm not really sure the exact day, so maybe we should be celebrating "Gotcha Day" instead...that was Nov 24, 2007. As long as there are lots of good treats, I'm game.
