Well Buddies- We're back from Ohio. We got back late last night. It was a very long day. In the beginning of the trip, I was not happy. Mama put the gate up so I could not ride up front because she had a friend along but then I realized I had the whole back to myself. We got there and I got to see my buddies, Wilbur and Cinch. Me and Wilbur got in trouble because he was barking really loud when he saw me and his Mama was trying to get the baby to sleep. Oops. Cinch was grouchy. She just growled at me. Me and Wilbur get on her nerves. We are loud and rowdy hound dogs!!! Then I hung out with Mama in the announcer's stand but another lady who was in there with us brought her cat. Who brings a cat to a rodeo??? Anyway, I barked at her a couple of times and Mama said for me to be nice and a gentleman so I went and laid down and ignored her. THEN, that silly cat started staring at me. I think she was plotting an attack. Mama's friend took me for a walk...actually I took her. She told Mama I was pulling and trying to meet other dogs. Duh, how am I going to be President if I don't meet my Furmericans. She didn't take me for a walk anymore :0)
I met all kinds of new people. Everyone wants to pet and love on me. It's great. Some guy kept trying to get Mama to take one if his puppies home for me. Mama said No, thanks. She's got all the dog she can handle. We finally got done and loaded back up to head home. I slept ALL the way home. These road trips wear me out. I don't know how Mama does all that driving. I was SOOOOO happy to be home. I crawled up in my recliner and snoozed away. As a matter of fact, I'm snoozing again. Mama is transcribing my notes on my trip. Hope everyone had a great weekend. Going out of town is fun but darn it's tiring on my Bassetness. ETB
