Hello All! For those of you that are not familiar with the story of our missing Fischer's Lovebirds but want to know more, you can check out the previous blog on our page "Fighting for Our Babies".
Where we left off...Mom had finally gotten the corporate office of the pet store chain responsible for sending her babies across the country to respond to her. We were told that the babies were on a truck on the otherside of the country and expected to arrive back at the breeder's office on Friday of last week.
On Friday morning Mom called the corporate office to make sure that they were still working with the breeder to locate the babies and has received disheartening news.
The breeders did not keep very good track of which babies were which and where they had been. Apparently, they recieved literally hundreds of fischers lovebirds back from the pet store chain, and told the corporate office that they were starting the process of going through and checking each and every male to find the injured one that mom agreed to adopt.
The breeders told the corporate office that this process would take about a week......but mom thinks that this is probably the end of the road.
Mom believes that the breeders are probably not checking the birds, but instead just very annoyed with Mom and biding their time until they can say that they tried, but could not locate the birds. If they come back with this statement....Mom doesn't know what to do. She has no other plan of attack....there is no way that she can prove that they didn't even try!
Our Mom LOVES these birds and is very worried about what will happen to them if they don't come home!!!! Does anyone have any suggestions regarding what mom can do if/when the breeder says they couldn't find the birds? Mom really doesn't want to give up....but she can't think of anything else to do!
Please send good thoughts to our birdies and to the people that are HOPEFULLY checking them for injuries!!! We need all the help we can get!
