Blogs Vs Posts

Margaret Thatcher on Activities - Sat, May 19 2007

So What's the difference between posts and blogs?

A Very Good Question

The short Answer: ...Blogs are journals, Posts are Message Boards...

The Long Answer: The difference between a post and a blog entry is subtle. Like posts, blog entries have titles, tags and comments. They differ in one important way however. Posts must be listed as one of the Pet Talk categories (i.e. Breeding, Going out, Laws etc etc.). A blog needn't be in any of the predefined categories. Blog entries do not, therefore, show up in Pet Talk index pages because they are not in any of the categories. They do display on the profile page of the pet that submitted the entry. This allows you to keep a pet journal on the site, without forcing the entry into a category that doesn't really make sense.

The tags you place on your blog entries will appear in IndyPaws.com tag clouds so that people will still find your blog and profile.

If anyone else has questions about IndyPaws.com, my human has answers.

Shoot me a message and I'll try to pull him away from the computer long enough to get the answers for posting.

Prost!

Hi, Thanks for explaining that. My Mom didn't know the difference and I wasn't sure either. Take care Margaret.
