New Kitty

Hannah on My Blog - Mon, August 20 2007

Mom keeps talking about bringing home a new kitty...I'm not sure how I feel about this. I really like having mom and dad to myself, but I do get lonely when they're gone. I have all these places I like to hide or take a nap in around the house and I think the new kitty may want to take my spots! But I also remember sitting in a little shelter cage all day and I wouldn't wish that on any kitty. Fortunately, I have the sniffles right now and can think about this a little more. Mom said she won't bring home another kitty until I feel 100% better.

My humans have persisted in bringing home other cats from time to time. We all figure out our spots, and generally ignore one another. If you have your own favorite spots, you can let the newcomer know, in no uncertain terms, that they are yours. I bet you will find that the house is big enough for both of you. And 2 paws up to your humans for wanting to adopt, but also waiting until you are 100%.

Our kitty brothers used to be the bestest of friends, they usually even slept curled up together. So maybe if you get a new sibling, you will like him/her and play and cuddle together. Good Luck!!!
