Greenies

Shadow on Nutrition - Sat, August 18 2007

Does anyone eat the greenies treats? Mom looks at them but wonders how it effects puppy tummies. She said she doesn't want to deal with loose poop! lol

I haven't fed my dogs greenies since they practically recalled them for getting stuck in dog's stomachs. They've suppossedly "redone" the formula, but I'm still a little nervous about it. Be very careful--dogs that can break off large pieces are at a very high risk for getting a blocked stomach with those--or at least they used to be...it seemed to be happening a lot in small breeds. Just a word of warning (of course, that goes for all "chewie" things)

Love Greenies! Mama says they are expensive. We don't get them very often. I have never had problems.

Be careful. Look at the ingredients list for those things. Full of a bunch of chemicals. For getting teeth clean nothing beats raw meaty bones. Nothing artificial or unnatural in them.
