Mom's leaving

Blitzen on My Blog - Thu, August 16 2007

I don't know why she has to leave. I think it's because I ran out of the house yesterday when dad opened the door. Or maybe because I jumped out of the bed without too much snuggling today. It could be because I didn't eat all my food. I don't really know why I guess. I just don't want her to leave. I've been having coughing/gagging attacks the last couple of days. What if dad doesn't notice? He told the neighbors he would take care of their cats this weekend. What if I'm allergic to cats and start wheezing when he comes back? Who will notice? I'm so sad. I wish I could go with her. She says she's going to Ohio(where dad's family lives-we've gone there before-why not now?) But she says she's not going to see grandma and grandpa. I bet her hotel would let me stay there. I'm very small and quiet and I'll be good. Why does she have to go away to work? I've seen her do her work here at home when it snowed real hard. Why not now? ?She could just go to her regular work instead of going on a "buying trip". I bet she's not buying anything for me when she's there. Poor me. Wish me luck with dad taking care of all of us. It could be disaster waiting to happen. Luckily dad said he would let us use the computer while she's gone so we can stay on here. If there's a problem here, you guys should let my mom know so she can hurry home. I'll let you know how things are in an all male house.
P.S. Dad's friend is coming to stay tonight and tomorrow and we don't even know him. He might not like dogs at all. Then what????

Poor Blitzen! Your mom must be feeling better to be able to go to Ohio. I bet it wasn't anything you did that made her have to go. Sometimes humans are just weird like that. All male house-hold? Where's little Dayzee?

poor blitzen!!! i know how you feel!! when i retired from SAR, mom kept going places, but she took that silly ol red hound, instead of ME!!! mom was really worried that dad would forget to feed, or medicate any of us other dogs and cats, but so far, so good. he even remembered to FEED the kitty cats!!! mom was really happy when she got back from kentucky. i think that mom thinks she is the ONLY one that can take good care of us, but when she is gone, our daddy does a fine job. (don't tell her, though, because i want her to feel guilty every time she comes back from seminars! ;o)

Maddie, we're going to lock Dayzee in her cage when mom's gone. She's annoying and dad won't mind since she ate one of his shoes the other day. She can just sit there and rot until mom gets home for all I care. She bothers me all the time and I dont' like her-so there!
