The remaining two guys are taking pleas and turning against him. So now, all 3 of his "friends" have rolled on him! HA-HA. He is considering a plea that involves less than a year of jail time. The NFL hasn't made an official decision yet, but it looks like he's going to be suspended this season. I think they're waiting to see his plea. I'm not sure why though. Just suspend him! Here's a link to a story on ESPN: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2972161
Hey Madeleine, Vick's already had a disease....a few years ago some ex girlfriend sued him for givin' her a disease...this guy is nothing but trouble. There was a cartoon laying on my mom's desk at work yesterday depicting Vick's dog fighting trial..all the jurors were cartoon doggies....Pluto, Marmaduke, etc...it was funny.
All the focus is on Vick because he is famous. One thing to remember is that all the guys that copped a deal to testify against him were involved too. I don't like the idea of them getting off free for testifying. I want ALL of them punished. Not let 3 go free just to get the one famous one. What they did is just as revolting if you are famous or not. I don't know the details but I sure hope all the rest of them get at least some prison time.
I was watching MSNBC this morning and they were talking about Vick and the guy said that if he accepts the deal he will be back playing football in 3 years!!!! He said that he wouldn't have to "improve" his image and he was sure the NFL would take him back!!! What is this world coming too! I just don't understand.
Jesse, you are right. I hope the other 3 get some kind of jail time for this. They should all be disposed of as far as I'm concerned. Those types of people don't even deserve to live in a civilized society. I will never watch the NFL again if they let him play. I don't care if it is this year or several years from now.
Michael Vick certainly hasn't shown a bit of remorse for the heinous things he has done and to me, that makes him even more of a blight on society. Some "legal experts" on Nancy Grace last night feel that even if he does a plea agreement, he may only have to pay fines (which is no big deal with his salary), and still avoid serving any jail time at all. To me, that just plain stinks. If it does go down that way, I think that all of us animal owners should mount a huge protest. Put Vick's butt in jail!!!
